This happened with me and this cat me and this dude named him chicken because this was during the chicken leg piece trend on tiktok and then I loved him I cared for him gave him food all the time and that was going on for a few months and then one day my mom told me chicken didn’t look so good and he looked really slow and mind you this cat was pretty young I guess but then the next morning my mom told me he was dead on the porch I was terrified and I wanted to see him but my mom didn’t let me but I did see a little bit of his body but yea cried for weeks still cry sometimes but yea it just happened anyways have a good day

I have a cat that I acquired after finding her in the vents of my new home.... I kept thinking I was hearing or seeing something in the basement vents, but I would just tell myself I was being paranoid about rodents and laugh it off. Then after about 2 full weeks in my new home, I was doing laundry in the basement and caught sight of two glowing little kitty eyes in a ceiling vent. I was like, I KNEW I WASN'T GOING INSANE. Lol. So I brought down some of my own cats food and lured out the little rodent-like cat in my vent. I called my realtor and the people that used to live in house, and no one has any idea about this cat. No one claimed her and I have no idea where she came from. I've named her Mystery as a result (we call her Missy), and have brought her to a vet and been told she's spayed and very healthy... She's very happy and kind of runs the whole house now. I'll never stop wondering where she came from though haha.

A similar thing happend to us. When we moved here october 2017, a lil while later a cat showed up at our door and meowed. We fed her and gave her milk and she is still here almost 4 years later even tho she is an outside cat but we gained her trust. We dont know her age nor her name but we dont care. Cats hjustfeel where they are safe and adopt their humans, not the humans the cat :)

Makes me think about my own cat. She was a stray cat too and would always visit our backyard. She would look for shelter in our backyard for about a year. We would feed here now and then. Little by little she gained trust in us. I remember her walking in our kitchen for the first time and then leaving again. She was always verry nervous and looking around her. And then the next step was for her to get in our livingroom and next thing you know she stayed the night in our house. And from there on she never really left us, untill a year ago when death took her away from us. I've never been so devestated in my life. It's still difficult, cause I miss her just sitting and laying next to me. She was really affectionate. I miss her puring. I still sometimes hear her meouwing. I have to remind myself she is not with us anymore. She really just had the sweetest soul. She wouldn't hurt a fly. Well, actually she did sometimes hurt a fly or other cats...she could be a sassy girl when the time or moment called for her to be sassy. But I'm thankfull for the fact she had a loving family to take care of her and love her for the last 12 years of her life. That's what she deserved. And I'm thankfull to have had her in my life. Everyone who would meet her would fall in love with her instantly. She didn't deserve to be a stray cat. I don't think I'll ever come across a cat with her soul and personality. That's what hurts. She really was one in a million.

the thing i dont like about people, is that they take all that time , to earn something or someones trust, then once they have it, they lock it up and take it to the vet to get it claimed microchiped and get its balls chopped off.. like damn tyhis animal trusted you and then you kidnap it .. people really dont understand how bad it looks not letting a wild animal stay wild but have it choose to stay with you and not force it to.

I had this when I was a flight attendant living in Horley by Gatwick maybe 18 years ago. There was a cat that always came around, so I'd leave food. Then I'd leave the window open, and Scraggle (yes I named him that) would jump in and sit with me. Then once when I went to bed I decided to leave the window open, and I woke up with him next to me snoring, actually woke me up. This happened for over 9 months. He was a best friend to me, but one day he just never ever came back.

My daughter was on her way to school one rainy morning and saw a cat in the bush meowing, she picked him up and brought him home, when I came to the door she said I found this cat, she threw him in the house and said don't let him back out lol Its ok, he didn't want to leave, that day he climbed into my cat's basket and played with all the toys like he'd always lived with us. We searched for his owners and found out he was owned by someone in a block of flats at the top of our street, a friend of mine who stayed in one of the flats said the owner didn't care for him and I should just keep him. So, we kept him, 2 weeks later he was neutered and a part of our family, worked out really good because 5 months prior we lost our cat Molly and our other cat Sam who was only a kitten when she died (not related) was pining for her, the vet estimated that the new cat was the same age as Sam. We named our new family member Gary and nearly 16 years later our boys are still with us. Gary is an awesome cat.

Right after we got married long ago I had the duty on my ship one Friday evening. I came home the next morning and our family had started the night before. A very small solid black kitten showed up at our front door Friday evening. My wife who grew up never having pets, because her mother would not permit any. She heard the kitten crying, opened the door and Boo as we named him came into our lives. My wife that Friday evening purchased a cat bed, food, water bowl & litter box. Boo lived up to his name as he liked to hide and leap out like he was going to attack you and then run hoping you would chase him~! Sadly our little boy only lived for 6 years as he developed cat diabetes. The diabetes was kept under control for a number of months using human insulin shots. Which meant I had to test his urine a couple times a day and give him a shot when he needed it. The shots did hurt as he would cry, but he never try to scratch me or bite me. He knew I was only trying to help. God bless you sir and your family for taking in your new family member. He will give you all the love he has. Shalom

I like how my cat just wanted to be a stray cat. He would always look outside and run outside whenever we opened the door. After he literally jumped out of the window so he could go outside we just let him livr outside. We still see him every now and then, its like seeing an old relative. We still feed him when he comes around but i guess he rather makes babies and beat up other catd outside
