I had to put my dads pitbull lab mix down two days because of lymphoma. He was such a sweet dog, worst guard dog ever because he loved everyone. He was bonded with my chihuahua mix and she keeps looking around for him, breaks my heart even more.

what helps a lot is if you talk in a high pitch voice, like.. “hi buddy!” but in a high voice becuase they respond better to that. wanna know how? growls and barks are usually low, which usually means the dogs are not happy when they do that. if u talk in a high voice, they know that you aren’t here to hurt them.

All dogs are the same if you treat them correctly and right, the dog's aren't the one's bad here.

What is wrong with people SERIOUSLY ???????? I get it to a degree, taking on any pet, do your research, find out everything you can on them, if its a dog research their breed their habits that are common in said dogs. How long would it take you, a couple of days, but the biggest thing you really need to research is the WHAT IFS ??? Are they prone to certain diseases or complications as they get older, All these things need to be taken in to factor , their food, their toys, if you have to leave, a dog who is well loved will understand you are coming back. Taking any pet on is expensive which ever way or animal you choose. However for me there is no greater love than a dogs, they comfort and it isn't until you stop crying over what ever it was that upset you, that you realise your pet has sat with you laid his head on your leg and just lays there quiet with eyes looking straight up at you, how can anyone not want that, what makes people hurt or abandon these magnificent animals. I live in England, we have VERY strict animal rules, there is not one pet shop that sells dogs or cats, it is illegal. We go to the rescue the poor animals didn't ask to end up their and regardless of what breed or age they still need love. The prices that VETS charge I think are atrocious, and here lots and lots of people wrote to their vets asking for something we did not think would happen but has and the difference is astonishing, Not all vets took place but thankfully the one near me did, and they set up a scheme and its in two types, one is pet insurance and with that your dog is tagged (chipped) and also helps if anything big is needed like a major operation and you know there is no way you can afford it. with this we can still go ahead and only pay a third of what the cost is. The other part of the insurance covers booster jabs once a year, every six months we take them in they get weighed their nails trimmed their ears cleaned and they deep clean their teeth. We also get flea tablets and 3months of worming tablets every 3 months, and that costs us £10 pound a month. every check up we are giving treats, new toothbrushes and dog toothpaste plus a bottle of mouth fresh which was created just for them a couple of drops in their water every day and that's it. If more vets did this they would be less dumping,
